Bali is a tourist magnet – we’re drawn here – not just by the warm weather, but by the warm smiles.

I have to say I adore the way people smile at you here.

It’s eye to eye contact, it’s genuine and bright – but I couldn’t help but to wonder: am I being given this special treatment because I’m a tourist?

Well, it didn’t take long to find my answer…

When we’re trying to impress, or make someone feel welcome – we’ll put our best foot forward… but there is one scenario that throws etiquette right out the window: traffic.

Other people’s bad driving makes even the most even tempered person flair up.

But what I’ve discovered about Bali, has surprised me in the most refreshing way.

I’ve witnessed drivers being cut-off, over-run and slowed down by unexpected traffic – and what I’ve noticed is that regardless of the situation, smiles are dispensed unreservedly.

SMILE

Because it doesn’t matter what’s happening around you – a smile comes from within you.

Choosing to smile creates the way you feel, it reflects the beauty that you see and brings a calm smile onto the faces of others.

A smile is a gift and it’s wildly contagious.
Being on the receiving end of smiles everyday, has made me much more generous with my own.

And that creates a kind of magnetic beauty that simply cannot be bottled!! That’s why smiling is this weeks’ Bali Beauty Routine!

Here’s what’s happening this week:

This week is all about smiling – and I’m not talking about your  normal “hello” smile… This week, smile like you’re on vacation. Smile at the person behind the counter like you’re happy to see them. Choose to smile despite the circumstances. Smile when you’re stressed, upset or annoyed. Smile first. Smile just because.

Dispense out into this world big, bright, unbridled smiles, flirtatious, heart felt, generous smiles. Because this is the secret to getting that Bali Glow!

Results are Guaranteed!

I’m not going to leave you without a few good natural tips to make sure you’re flashing a fresh, bright smile.

Here are three simple ways you can enjoy beautiful and healthy teeth naturally:

Naturally Healthy Toothy Smile

ONE: Rinse your mouth soon after drinking tea or coffee.

Doing this regularly will help you prevent stains and yellow teeth. You can rinse with plain water or drink a glass of water instead.

TWO: Eat naturally cleaning foods, such as apples, pears, broccoli, celery, and carrots.

The crunchiness of these foods helps to clean your teeth as you eat them and makes you produce more saliva, which gets rid of bacteria and remineralizes your teeth.

THREE: Drink bone broth.

Besides being gut-friendly food, bone broth is packed with nutrients that support the remineralization of your teeth and prevent decay. Saliva is in charge of remineralizing your teeth because it’s packed with nutrients such as calcium and phosphate, but a poor diet can reduce the concentration of these minerals in your saliva.

By drinking more bone broth you ensure your body gets the nutrients it needs to produce mineral-rich saliva that protects your tooth enamel and prevents cavities.

Healthy Smile Bone Broth

  • 1 chicken carcass
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 garlic gloves
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 6 cups water
  1. Boil all the ingredients for 4 hours strain and reserve the stock.

Putting it all together: Week 5
