I just wrapped up my online course called How to Become a Morning Person that I taught for 26,000 people (still blown away!) and even though I was there as a teacher – I came away learning so much about what it takes to accomplish the things we want.

The reason I started this course was to offer solutions to people who want more of the good things in life – to cook, exercise, play, explore, learn, create… but feel overwhelmed, tired and time-starved.

It turns out there’s quite a few out there feeling this way!

So how did it go? I have to be honest – the idea of connecting with SO many people was seriously scary. I didn’t know what to expect. Everyone is different – how can one solution help them all?

After thousands of questions, comments, stories, roadblocks, successes, insights… I got to see first-hand: that no matter how different we are, we share a common thread.

  1. You already have the answers.  Often when we seek out inspiration or guidance – we’re trying to bring out that something we already know is within us. I think the role of a teacher or mentor is not to give you the answers, but to provide a structure that helps you reach yours.
  2. Simplicity works. Your dreams should be big and bold – but the steps to get you there must be small and simple.

From what I saw in the Morning Person class, the people who gave themselves permission to feel really good about starting small – led to bigger changes!

It’s exciting to know that anything you want for yourself – health, skill, wellness, taking control of your day, having amazing life experiences – being small and consistent will get you there faster.

So, here are 3 great ideas, simple actions that you can take to move towards your intentions. I wonder, which one speaks to you most?

Toxic chemicals have absolutely no place in your home. It’s time to take a hard look at those neon plastic bottles and kick them to the curb. They harm your health, they pollute the earth and you simply don’t need them. You can do so much better! Start with one – here’s a recipe to care for your home, simply and naturally.

Simple Home Cleaner Recipe

Amazing for counter-tops, the fridge, the bathroom, the kids high-chair , the windows, the mirrors!

  • ingredients: spray bottle, 1 cup white distilled vinegar, 2 cups water, 10-20 drops essential oil of choice
  • directions: in a spray bottle, mix the vinegar and water. Add 10-20 drops of essential oil.

If your cabinets are overrun by beauty products – impulse purchases, promises to fix your imperfections – it’s like having a constant reminder that you feel you’re not good enough… why surround yourself with this message?

I think this recipe is brilliant because it’s so simple and yet has better results than half the stuff you buy. And when you look at what you’ve made, there’s no marketing telling you “need” this product. It’s simple, fresh, beautiful – and celebrates taking care of yourself in a loving and empowering way.

Simple Body Scrub Recipe

Keeps your skin soft, glowing and well taken care of.

  • ingredients: 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp grated fresh ginger, zest of one lemon, oil of choice
  • directions: Mix together all the dry ingredients. Pour in the oil until it forms a wet sand consistency. Use it once a week all over your body – focusing on any dry areas. It’s amazing for your feet 🙂

When it comes to our body image and exercise – we can give ourselves such a hard time – the problem is that when we do something out of fear or negativity – it will never be a good experience.

Exercise because you love the way it makes you feel, not because you’re scared of your pant size. Exercise because it makes you feel strong and full of energy and because it’s fun! I think choosing the right experience and going into it with an attitude of self-love will change everything. You’ll transform!

Simple Exercise Routines

I know that I do better with a coach, they teach you how to be more effective and get better results. But I need something simple and accessible – which is why I work out with Pimp Your Mat – it’s an online subscription Pilates program that’s incredible! The 30 minute work-outs that you can do at your own pace. It’s designed to tighten your body and make you feel elegant and strong. It’s super affordable and you get Tandy training you in Pilates, you get the community and the support that really helps.

My sister passed away and I really felt I lost my way. Started going to bed late, really late for me and just seemed the less sleep I had the harder it was to motivate myself for the day. Thanks for telling everyone about this xx
