  • Fresh ginger dries so beautifully - and it's NOTHING like ordinary ginger powder, when you dry it yourself at home - it's mind blowing good!! ⠀ .⠀ I always dry it in my dehydrator, sliced very finely. But I did a bit of research and learned that you can do it in the oven, at the lowest setting (crack the door open if it doesn't go below 150). ⠀ .⠀ Once dry - grind it up into a powder and sprinkle it into everything you cook - it brightens up the flavor SO much!! ⠀ .⠀ And make cups of ginger tea - about 1/2 tsp to a cup of hot water. (PS on my website I have a recipe for the BEST Chai, using ginger!)⠀ .⠀ There are so many uses for ginger and reasons to make dried ginger at home: ⠀ .⠀ Ginger has been used traditionally for the skin to clear up infections, to stimulate circulation, warm the body and to relax muscles. It's also used as a poultice to treat arthritis. I add freshly ground ginger to my mask formulas, to body scrubs and in baths as well.⠀ .⠀ Ginger is popular as a remedy for nausea It's great for car rides and morning sickness. Make ginger protein-balls, with nut butter, honey or maple syrup, and ginger powder (you can add other powdered herbs too) - roll into balls and snack on them when you're feeling dizzy or nauseous. ⠀ .⠀ Ginger stimulates circulation, it warms up the body and gets your digestive fire burning. Its used to relieve cramping, gas, indigestion...⠀ .⠀ Cups of ginger tea or ginger milk warms the body through to the extremities, bringing internal warmth to cold hands and feet. ⠀ ⠀ Ginger is a potent ANTIVIRAL and ANTIMICROBIAL - but for this - fresh ginger is best.   • My daughter is obsessed with Trader Joe's soupy dumplings... she grew up in Singapore and it's her comfort food.   • ROSE CACAO TEA . This was a moment of pure experimentation. I was prepping for my day ahead, looking at my jars of herbs and powders - and CACAO and ROSE jumped out to me. . So I listened. I brewed them together, tried it for the first time... and it was exactly what I needed . Calm energy, circulation and flow and that uplift that rose brings. I thought - WOW this is really good.
