Delicious, smooth, velvety, can’t-stop-touching-yourself skin. That’s what I love about a scrub – it’s the simplest way to get skin that is so soft, it looks it.

There’s something really amazing that happens when you realize just how capable you are of creating your own skincare, using simple ingredients and getting amazing results.

It’s a game-changer!

You get a very real sense of empowerment, not needing to buy all of these random products. It creates a strong inner beauty and if any recipe can demonstrate this, I think you’ll find it here.

    • Nancy – your amazing comment came to me just when I needed to hear it most… thank you for the inspiration! I appreciate it so very much! All the best to you – Militza

  2. Thanks for this list! Can I make them in a batch and keep them for multiple uses in the fridge/freezer? Would you also happen to know how long can I keep them?

    • Hi Kris – You can make a big batch – there’s no need to refrigerate them since they don’t have water. Just make sure that you scoop it out with a spoon or dry hands. A scrub will keep for a good month or even longer. Enjoy!!

  3. There are some things that even in the name of beauty, I will not put on my face. Yogurt, is one of them. Is there something that you can substitute please? Or do you just omitt it completely? Thank you.

    Elizabeth

    • Hi Elizabeth! You’re not alone! I love it, but there’s a lot of people who don’t 🙂 The brilliant thing is that you can customize recipes to your tastes ( a lot like food ) find out what feels good and what your skin responds well to.

Here’s what I recommended to another reader with the same question:

Try coconut milk powder – I LOVE the way it feels, creamy and softening! You can find it online, places like Amazon will carry it. Or, you might make a EXTRA creamy batch of almond milk and use that. You can also do coconut milk from home using dried coconut flakes and just enough water to get moving in the blender (we don’t want it too thin for the scrub)

I also love honey, if that’s something that you like – it has that same brightening, moisturising effect! 🙂

      Hope that helps!

  4. I would like to to try the Cleopatra scrub, but yogurt will unsettle me. Is there please anything that could be used in place of it?
