I walked into Quince Cafe here in Bali and instantly fell in love! The cafe is owned by an Australian/Indonesian couple. She’s a textile designer and they’ve created a space that celebrates fresh, organic living. From the food to the decor – it’s something that you notice the moment you walk in.

What really stood out were the abundance of potted plants – each in their own little woven basket. It’s such a good idea! Using a basket as a planter, softens the look and it’s something that we can easily do at home too.

There was so much inspiration all around, take a look:

The taller the basket, the taller the plant. And you can just put the whole plant right in, plastic pot and all. It’s so simple.

If you’re in Bali, do check out Quince, in Canggu. The food and the friendly smiles are even more stunning.

So, what do you think about baskets as planters?  Can you imagine a big hamper, sitting in the corner of your room with a tall fiddle leaf fig tree inside. So Bali, so beautiful!!

    • Hi Farini, aren’t they gorgeous!! You’ll find in stores like Crate & Barrel, but I was thinking that even if you come across a small hamper basket, you can get creative and repurpose it as a planter! Let us know what you find! 🙂
