If your skin feels dehydrated, a little stressed and you’re not sure why or what to do about it… scale back. We tend to want to do more, scour the beauty department – but what I’ve seen over and over again is that a simple solution can restore your skin better than stressing out over it or slapping on a bunch of new products.
I was talking about this with Habiba, she produces pure Argan oil from her hometown in Morocco. Her article on Three Unusual Benefits of Argan Oil, was a big hit!! Hundreds and hundreds of people shared it – and I think it’s because we want simplicity. It’s refreshing to see what one single ingredient can do for you!
How to use Argan oil to relieve stressed, dehydrated skin
Do your research: make sure to buy a pure Argan Oil. The way it’s produced matters, you don’t want to spend money on an oil that doesn’t have the natural properties that restore your skin! She talks about it here, but also check out her site too, so that you can know what to look for in an Argan Oil and identify good brands.
Restore your skin: simplify and give your skin a big boost of nourishment. Argan oil can replace your lotions, serums, creams, eye creams… it will do everything: moisturise, heal and nourish your skin.
Daily: Every morning and evening apply four drops of Argan oil to clean, slightly damp skin.
Weekly: Once a week, for the next 4 weeks, use a Hydrating Face Mask. Habiba shared this recipe with me and I’ve been using it myself. I think you’ll love it and you’ll see your skin will be glowing again in no time!!
Check out the properties of the ingredients…
Argan Oil: It’s very light weight, but it packs a punch! Argan is full of nourishment for your skin – rich in vitamins that protect skin from damage, restores and moisturizes. It’s going to lock in hydration so your skin looks more supple.
Raw Honey: Hydration, hydration, hydration!! I can’t stress enough that our skin needs to stay hydrated to look and feel its best. Honey pulls in water from the environment for your skin cells to plump up. It also has an alpha hydroxy acid that eats away at dead skin cells, and brightens up your skin. Buy raw honey, which has all the active properties.
Cinnamon: Spices are packed with anti-oxidants, which will help to protect your skin from damage. If your skin is breaking out, cinnamon is also highly antimicrobial and will help to clear your complexion. It’s potent stuff! A little goes a long way.
