I’m in big re-decorating mood, do you get that way? When I get an urge to switch things up, I follow a great tip that I learned: Instead of buying new things, shop your own house. That means taking a look at what you have and imagine it transformed. Simply shuffling things around or adding a coat of paint can make a big difference. So, I went digging around the spare room for stuff to redecorate with, when I discovered a pot of blue-green paint from an old project. I remembered seeing a simple recipe that turns any color acrylic paint into chalkboard paint, which got me thinking about that tired Ikea side-table in my bedroom and boom! Instant make over! I’ll show you the results as soon as I’m done. In the meantime here’s a little inspiration to switch things up and add a pop of fun into your house with DIY chalkboard paint.
p.s. I really wanted to credit these images, but Pinterest is getting really bad at showing you the original source. So, I’ve created a Pinterest board with more fun ideas for sprucing up your house with chalk-board paint. Check it out!
