The simplest remedy to scrub stress away

Can’t shake off the stress? Then try scrubbing it off! But it has to be with this scrub, because it’s a total life changer. No exaggeration!

When you’re feeling stressed – what do you do after a long day? How do you decompress? If too many days in a row go by where I’m letting Netflix auto-play the next episode… I know it’s time to do things a little differently. That’s when I’ll pull out a bag of soft brown sugar… and make myself an instant feel-good remedy: body scrub, following a great session with one of my great massage recliners for back pain.

The secret… is to make such a good, seriously lush body scrub, that you feel like you’ve come home to a spa  – and left your worries at the door!

The ultimate, self-care, instant-gratification, feel-good DIY

Why a body scrub?

  • It completely engages your body – takes you out of your head.
  • It feels good… you’re scrubbing,  your pampering yourself
  • And when you’re finished – your skin feels completely amazing.
  • Which has a way of making you feel amazing!

But, when it comes to store-bought scrubs, I see a lot out there that are far too rough for skin. Big grains of salt, sugar and coffee hurt! The experience should feel soothing and lush, never harsh.

It should look like this….

Creamy, creamy, creamy! The tip to making this doughy-scrub is to start with fine brown sugar and grind it down almost into a powder.  It makes a scrub that feels rich and pillowy. The grains are super soft, gentle and because brown sugar has molasses – it slowly melt over wet skin.

It’s so, so satisfying. Just feel yourself go, ahhhhhh…..

See the difference grinding the sugar makes? Those big, itchy grains, turns into a walk on the most powdery sandy beach.

Simple is great enough

Yes, you can totally add essential oils, you can add other ingredients too… but for this one, let’s keep it simple. Remind yourself that you don’t need a lot to feel good. You don’t need special ingredients, you don’t need to spend a lot of time, thought, money or effort to take care of yourself well.

This is a very simple recipe and it’s perfect. Get ready to scrub away any stress and make yourself feel all better. Don’t forget that if the problem is serious, it is best to get in contact with a doctor, there are other natural remedies that will perform in a better way, specially now that several companies are able to produce pure CBD crystals with 99.9% purity to fight stress and other conditions, just remember that these products can only be prescribed by a medical professional.

I love the recipe but…I am having a hard time with just two ingredients. I tried blending the sugar through an battery operated sifter and it didn’t “powder up”-and my second question is….should I be using liquid coconut oil or condensed? Please help!

Hi! You will need a blender, the sugar really needs to be ground down into a powder. If you can’t do that, then look for the finest sugar that you can find! I use liquid coconut oil, even if the coconut oil is solidified, it still works and will melt on your skin!
