Upgrade your Green Smoothie

Lesson-7-Weight Loss Recipe 1

I’m so excited about this recipe! It comes from The Nutrition Clinic here in Singapore – created by a nutritionist who specialises in helping people cleanse their body and rebalance their diet.

This smoothie has the perfect balance of greens, protein and healthy fat which is so important to fuel your body with a boost of nutrients and sustainable energy. This is a weight-loss green smoothie – it’s cleansing and beautifying.

And it’s delicious!

I love that it’s light and fresh – but with the avocado – its also rich and substantial. You have to try it for yourself!

Can I add a slice of green apple? How much protein is in this recipe?

Hi Mara – green apples are great for smoothies! I’d have to ask the nutritionist about the exact protein content, if you’re in Singapore – I encourage you to reach out to them : )

I have made this before with green apple. Its the only smoothie that does not make me hungry 30 minutes after drinking it. Perhaps because its low sugar. Definitely going to try this out. So is this suppose to be a snack or meal replacement? Is it okay if we dont use organic?

Hope you like it! Don’t worry about the organic – use what you have, do what you can! 🙂

Hi, thanks for a great smoothie recipe. I want to know roughly how many calories would this have? I am on a restricted diet for wweightloss and I am allowed to have 250 ml of fresh orange juice/orange Apple mixed juice. So I guess this smoothie has its own benefits like the fresh juice; or is it better?

Hi Neha! You’re welcome! I’d have to ask the nutritionist about your questions – if you’re in Singapore, I encourage you to reach out to them 🙂

When you have a smoothie for breakfast (like this) is that just it? Or do you eat a something else?

Hi Lucy – It depends on the day and how I feel – I don’t use it as a meal replacement, but it can fill you up for a good few hours – the key is to add protein and fat (1 tbsp) – like a coconut butter or nutbutter and coconut oil.
